Arnold NYC challenged me with a complex project for its client, Volvo Trucks: combining four technical sales brochures for its flagship VNL series into one main collateral piece, while touting the latest model-year updates and streamlining the company’s style.
This was accomplished by first digesting the technical specifications for Volvo’s VNL 780/730, 670/630, and 430/300 trucks from four brochures–including several engine and transmission options for each truck–then combining them into one easy-to-compare chart.
Researching the hardware and software updates, and working with Volvo engineers, to truly understand how these drivetrain updates created fuel efficiency and drivability improvements.
Focusing on how important the convenience, safety, and comfort upgrades were to the success of long-haul truckers, and conveying those customer benefits.
And finally, distilling it all into a concise brochure for owners and operators, who had a long way to go, and a short time to read them.
